All PESOL vehicles are graded according to the Japanese Used Car Auction standard — the most widely recognised vehicle grading system in the world. Understanding these grades helps you make an informed purchase decision.
Condition reports are provided by independent Japanese auction houses and are not issued by PESOL. Detailed inspection sheets are available on request before purchase.
As New
Vehicle is in brand-new or near-new condition with no visible defects, damage, or signs of use.
Excellent
Outstanding condition with very minor surface marks only visible upon close inspection.
Very Good
Minor scratches or dents. Interior is clean with light signs of use.
Good
Some minor scratches, small dents, or light interior wear. Overall well-maintained.
Above Average
Noticeable scratches or dents but in reasonable condition for the age of the vehicle.
Average
Multiple scratches, dents, or rust spots. May require minor repairs. Mechanically sound.
Below Average
Significant bodywork issues, rust, or interior damage. Requires repairs before use.
PESOL recommends only purchasing vehicles graded 3.5 or above for most use cases. Vehicles graded 3 or below may require additional repair costs upon arrival.
