Our journey with Africa began in 2002, during what was meant to be a simple student expedition. Instead, it became a defining encounter.
We were met with extraordinary natural beauty and the quiet strength of communities living with dignity and resilience. Yet, beyond that beauty lay a deeper reality, one that revealed itself over time.
A single encounter would shape everything.
We met a young boy named Alex, a former orphan who, despite completing his education, had no place to call home. With no opportunities available, he returned to the streets. In that moment, the cycle of poverty was no longer abstract. It was immediate, human, and undeniable.
It became clear: opportunity has the power to transform lives.
Guided by this conviction, PESOL was founded in 2007, not simply as a business, but as a purpose-driven enterprise committed to creating pathways where none existed.
